This black and white print celebrates the victory of the Anglo-Prussian allied army over Emperor Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815. The shirt features designs of the Duke of Wellington and his ally the Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo forced him to abdicate from the throne for a second time and resulted in his exile in Saint Helena.

Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher was commander-in-chief of the Prussian army in the 1813-14 and 1815 campaigns. His flamboyance and charisma made him very popular among his men, and his aggression earned him the nickname Marshal Forwards. Blücher's Prussians arrived at Waterloo during the afternoon of the battle, making a decisive contribution to Napoleon's defeat.

Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington is one of the greatest commanders in the history of the British army. After making his name in India, he led the Anglo-Spanish-Portuguese armies to victory against France in the Peninsular War. He returned to the field at Waterloo and held Napoleon at bay before the arrival of the Prussians.
