This mug is part of our matryoshka collection inspired by Russian nesting dolls. The design features Russian Field Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov. Best known as the supreme commander of the Russian army during Napoleon's invasion in 1812, Kutuzov was known as a cunning strategist and continues to be regarded as one of the greatest generals in Russian history.
Earlier in his career, Kutuzov received two serious head injuries which blinded him in the right eye, though he didn't wear an eye patch. It looks cool on the matryoshka though, don't you think?
