This cute T-shirt is inspired by one of the funniest moments in Napoleonic history.
Following the Peace of Tilsit in the summer of 1807, Napoleon ordered his chief of staff Marshal Berthier to organise a celebratory hunt. Berthier's genius for staff work did not extend to matters of animal husbandry, and he had procured 3000 tame rabbits for the hunt.
When the bunnies were released from their cages, they rushed towards the imperial hunting party, overwhelming them with numbers. Napoleon was forced to flee to his carriage, throwing rabbits out of the window as he drove off.
By putting Napoleon to flight, a group of rabbits had accomplished what the Austrian, Prussian and Russian armies had yet failed to do.
